Dining room home interior with shades

From suburban neighborhoods to rural homes, your home interior is not only your place of comfort, but it reflects who you are. From upgrades to your home interior to window updates, there are a number of ways you can up the curb appeal of your home.

Tip 1: Indoor Decor

Nothing ties a kitchen, dining room, or living space together quite like some furnishings. Simply having a place to sit, a small table, or even some snazzy new shades can take a room and make it an atmosphere. You can easily keep this refreshed and new looking, too, by swapping out pillows with the seasons or adding floral accents.

Tip 2: A Fresh Coat Of Paint

A colorful upgrade to any home interior is a great way to keep things fresh. Without having to go through the trouble of redoing floors or splurging for a whole new dining room set, updating your old wall color with something newer and brighter will make your furniture pop. It also helps your windows stand out and your blinds look refreshed.

Tip 3: The Power Of Spring Cleaning

A clean home is a great-looking home. And, since your home interior is so well lived-in, dirt can quickly build up. Spring cleaning, then, is one of those clichés that work. Create a schedule and tackle your cleaning in stages: separate your home by floors and quadrants, or assign specific tasks by day. You can vacuum and only vacuum one day, and then dust the next. Then, dedicate a full day to washing windows. Breaking things up into manageable tasks will make it easier.

Tip 4: Don’t Ignore The Front Door

Front doors not only get used quite literally all the time, but they also are often the main focal point of any house, inside and out. Keeping your door in top condition can really make an impact on how everything looks. Also, you don’t need to break the bank and buy a whole new door – consider freshening up its look with a new color of paint to match your shutters or opt for a new wreath to hang in front.

Tip 5: Install Those Shades

If your house suffers from windows with outdated blinds (or none at all), it can often look incomplete or sparse. Simply adding shutters or custom shades to your windows adds dimension and can actually make your windows appear larger. If you already have shutters or blinds installed, updating their style or color can make a big difference in how cohesive your home looks. New shades go a long way, also, for protecting your home interior from the wear and tear of the sun, too.
